PORT OF TACOMA ROAD DESIGN MEETING

Date: Monday, December 15, 2014
Time: 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Location: Fabulich Center, 3600 Port of Tacoma Rd.-1st Floor Meeting Rm

The City of Tacoma and Port of Tacoma invite you to a meeting to discuss the 90% design drawings and the draft traffic control plan for the Port of Tacoma Road Reconstruction Project between East 11th and Marshall Avenue. As you may have heard, the City recently received a grant from the Transportation Improvement Board that together with funding from the City, Port, Freight Mobility Strategic Investment Board, and Puget Sound Regional Council will allow construction to proceed on the project next year.

The City’s consultant, SCJ Alliance, has been working with businesses along the Port of Tacoma Road project to develop the traffic control plan that will be issued to the contractor showing the times construction can occur, detour routes, and the number of lanes that can be closed to keep businesses open and traffic moving during construction. This plan will be available for review and discussion prior to being finalized this month for inclusion in project bid documents.

Staff from SCJ Alliance, the City, and the Port will be available to discuss the design and traffic control plan from 11:30am to 1:30pm on Monday, December 15 in the 1st floor meeting room at the Fabulich Center, 3600 Port of Tacoma Road.
